Life is Fragile
Sadly this happened at my office building. I go out this way everyday. I think I'm still in shock about the whole thing.
Just such a freak accident to happen. Thinking about all the family and friends of the individual at this time.
So sad.

Random Thought
As it slowly closes I feel the damp cold air surround me like the weight of all the stars in the sky I can no longer see. I slide my back down a dirty wall until I'm sitting. I pull my knees up close to my stomach and push myself as far into the corner as I can get. It's not a dream I can wake from. It's cold and dark. I'm alone. I'm scared.
Keane's newest CD Night Train
This is one of my favorite all time bands and they have recently released their new CD. I thought I'd share two that stood out for me when I first had a listen to it. Hope you enjoy them.
Out of This World
Silver Hills Sprouted Grain Products. A little piece of heaven here on earth. Imagine?
These are by FAR the best bagels I have ever had in my entire life. YOU MUST TRY THEM!!! They're lighter than regular bagels and taste amazing just lightly toasted with your favorite condiment. So far I have only tried the Flax ones but I have tried many of the Silver Hills breads and it is my bread of choice now for the most part. Yum.

Books give Bliss
Well I finished my book Next by Michael Crichton last week and went to pick out another one of his books at the library. I had recently finished reading Michael's Pirate Latitudes before starting Next and felt like I was on a roll. While I did have Eaters of the Dead in my hands, I happen to come across a sequel to one of my favorite novels by Jeff Long called The Descent. At once, I put my previous choice back on the Shelf! This one is called Deeper and although I'm not that far into it...I am thrilled to be back there and maybe...just perhaps...a wee bit scared.*s*
What have you been reading lately?

Bravo Betty White!
Ok, so I missed Saturday Night Live last night so I um...downloaded it this morning to have a looksie. OMG it was awesome. I phreaking loved the Crusty Muffin skit and when she came out in that Talk Show skit I had tears in my eyes. The whole thing was done extremely well and my hats off to the tremendously talented Betty.

My coffee addiction
My coffee of choice at home lately has been one of two brands. One is relatively expensive - Kicking Horse, while the other is relatively inexpensive - Maxwell House.
Now for the expensive one. The brand I'm sure some of you are familiar with. Kicking Horse Coffee. They also have many blends but the only one I have tried and very much like is called Kick Ass. Yup, that's what it's called. No typo. It's a certified organic dark coffee with a very unique flavor of which I have come to love very much over the past few months. This coffee comes in "bean" format so you will need a coffee grinder to enjoy a cup of this Joe.
Long live the bean!
Don't let the brand name Maxwell House fool you. They have changed things up and this is a GREAT coffee for the price. They have many different kinds and I have tried almost all of them. Original Roast, Rich Dark Roast, De-calf, and Half-Calf. Two of my favorite Maxwell House blends have to be French Vanilla and Hazelnut. I love my flavored java! The cans come with very nice pop top lids as well. Do yourself a favor. Save yourself some money sometime and try it. I doubt you'll be sorry.
