Well we finally did it. We purchased a new flat panel television. We've been looking for a few years now and finally bit the bullet and just did it. We are extremely pleased with it. Of course we picked up a Shaw HDPVR with it as well. In the store we almost went for the 46" as it was also on sale but it had the same specs as the 40" and that meant a clearer picture on the smaller screen. I am so thankful we stuck to our guns as the 40" is plenty big enough for our small space. The store shelves can be quite deceiving when you look at different sizes. Make sure you do your homework if you are looking to buy one! Optimal viewing for a 40-42 is to be approximately 8 feet away.Samsung 40" LCD
