Sunday Morning Snow
Not only am I up early on the weekend but I wake up to this. It's not the greatest picture because I really should have grabbed the tripod but it was way too early for any of that nonsense. I haven't even had my morning fix of java yet.I am so done with the snow already. Please Ol' Man Winter...just get the hell out of here already!

Finally Winter

Well it was soon to come and now it's finally arrived. Winter in Edmonton. I took these off the deck this morning. Kind of a grey snowy morning. I guess it puts one more in the festive mood with the white stuff on the ground.

Lazy Sunday
I love lazy mornings. They certainly don't happen as much as I would like them too that's for sure! I am still comfy and cozy in bed...with my laptop...on my lap. I have the TV on watching Pre NFL stuff before the games start for the day. To top it all off Squeegy is curled up snoozing beside me. A picture perfect morning if you ask me. Considering it's a bit chilly in the condo right now I may have some difficulty getting out from under the covers this morning. *s* What does a perfect morning in your world look like?

The Morning Sun

I was up early this morning and got a chance to witness a breathtaking sunrise. Grabbed a few shots in my skivvies in the brisk morning air. Please don't picture that cause it really wasn't pretty. *s*

One Of Those Days
Not only is it loud here on my day off...but my guitar was hung up on the wall and well...it's not anymore. The screw gave way I guess. *sigh* I feel sick...but I think that has more to do with the tar down on the street.
Late Night Work?
Ok, so I just took this and I know it's not the most interesting picture but I had to comment on it. These workers were here through the ENTIRE night preparing the roads for paving. I have never witnessed construction workers with this kind of shift. It struck me very odd. Were they noisy? Yes actually they were. Beep beep beep and loud crunching sounds as they ripped up the old pavement. I had the air conditioner going though so at least I didn't hear them when I went to bed but they were definitely there. So of course, because I have the day off here...they would be here making noise. So much for my semi peaceful java on the deck this morning. *sigh*

A Hard Day's Work
You certainly don't have to be at work to "work" do you? We were up early today and rearranging everything so we could have room to paint the window wall. Living in such a small space has it's challenges when you are doing any kind of reno work. Even with the couches and table out of here it is still a tight squeeze. So after we put coat number one on we got cleaned up and were out the door to help friends move. The move went fairly well despite the weather. It was a slushy winter mess and a bit cool but we all managed. The hundred trips up and down three flights of stairs definitely took their tole on me. After the move we visited a bit and played a few songs on Rock Band. I'm pretty amazed that Tan was able to find everything she needed to hook it up! We ate before leaving and than painted a second coat to our wall. Now we have prepped our final wall for painting tomorrow. It's a different colour so that's why we didn't do it all the same day. Now it's time to call it a night. My back is screaming at me so I better rest it well. *s*

Colour Me Green
We are in midstream of painting our condo before all the new furniture arrives. What a complete disaster painting walls can do to a small space. We have things semi tidied up for now. We still have a lot of painting to do but we are going to wait till more of our older furniture is out of the way. We've been doing it in stages so it makes for slow progress but all in all it's not too bad. So ya, sunglasses required when you come for a visit! We absolutely love it although I'm sure many will not. *s*

Saturday Morning in the City
I just took this shot. My thermometer on my deck say's it's a balmy -18c. Pretty nice considering at the beginning of the week we were in some very nasty temperatures. The view from my condo never gets old to me, although it may be that way for some that see my pictures all the time! For me though, I inhale it in and sometimes I can't get enough. I'm looking forward to the summer when I can enjoy my morning coffee on the deck. For now, I'll stay warm and sit here bundled up and enjoy all I can through the window.Enjoy your Saturday all. *s*
